Wisconsin Mortgage Banker Branch License

Pursuant to Wis. Stat. s. 224.71(1c), a branch office means an office or place of business, other than the principal office, located in this state or another state, where a mortgage loan originator, mortgage banker, or mortgage broker engages in the mortgage loan business subject to subch. III, ch. 224, Stats.
Each mortgage banker shall obtain and maintain a license for its principal office and a separate license for each branch office.

Step 1
Electronic Surety Bond: See the Mortgage Banker Company License Requirements on the License Requirements and Fees Chart on the NMLS Resource Center for details related to this Requirement. NOTE: If the company licenses more than five banker branch locations, an electronic surety bond rider must be submitted for the Company License via NMLS increasing the coverage by $10,000 for each licensed location in excess of five. Step 2
Branch Manager: The individual identified as a branch manager must be licensed as a Wisconsin mortgage loan originator.
