Enterprise Duty To Serve Underserved Markets; Correction

June 26, 2026 · Effective June 26, 2026

Summary

The FHFA corrects a regulatory text error in its proposed rule on Enterprise Duty to Serve Underserved Markets, changing "Refinancing mortgages that are not arms-length transactions or borrower driven" to "Refinancing mortgages that are not arms-length transactions and borrower driven." This clarifies that eligible refinances must satisfy both conditions, not just one.
