Florida Health Choices Program

Summary

If enacted, this bill would rename the Florida Health Choices Program as the Florida Employee Health Choices Program and restructure its governance, including revamping the board of directors of the administering corporation. The bill revises definitions, eligibility and participation requirements for vendors, and the types of health insurance products available through the program, while removing existing risk pooling options and certain pricing transparency requirements. It also eliminates exemptions from specific provisions of the Florida Insurance Code that previously applied to the program.
