Summary
If enacted, this bill would require businesses using generative artificial intelligence in consumer-facing interactions to disclose the use of synthetic content and establish content verification tools. The Bureau of Consumer Protection would enforce these requirements and impose penalties for noncompliance. Lenders, banks, fintechs, and other entities utilizing AI in marketing, underwriting, or customer service would need to implement disclosure protocols.
