Relating To Consumer Protection.
January 14, 2026
Summary
If enacted, this bill would prohibit entities from distributing unsolicited mail or electronic mail that employs high-pressure tactics or is reasonably likely to cause a consumer to believe the sender is affiliated with another entity (e.g., for vehicle warranties, service contracts, home warranties, or government licenses) unless certain disclosures are met. Contracts that fail to meet these disclosure requirements would become voidable at the option of the consumer.
