Summary
If enacted, this bill would repeal the requirement that the Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations regulate hoisting machines and certify their operators, and would allow additional time for the Director to complete investigations of discharge or discrimination complaints without formal extension. This eliminates the separate state crane operator certificate and the Hoisting Machine Operators Advisory Board.
