SC Community Choice Aggregation Act

Summary

If enacted, this bill would create a framework for community choice aggregation in South Carolina, allowing local governments to aggregate electricity demand and choose alternative energy suppliers. It establishes requirements for utilities, the Public Service Commission, and the Office of Regulatory Staff, including opt-out provisions, rate standards, customer data protection, and dispute resolution.
